He has captured only 87 matches to score these runs at an average of 76.46. As India captain in ODI’s Virat Kohli has scored 21 centuries and 23 fifties.
MS Dhoni is a former skipper. He sits at the top of the list of greatest run-getters as India Captain. In the fifty-over format, Mohammed Azharuddin had collected 5,239 runs. MS Dhoni had scored 6,641 runs as captain.
Generally, Ricky Ponting clasps the record for scoring the maximum number of runs in ODI’s as captain. He scored 8,497 runs for Australia in the 230 ODI matches he become in as captain.
Dhoni has followed him, Stephen Fleming scored 6,295 runs in 2018 ODI’s and Arjuna Ranatunga scored 5608 in 193.
