Hyderabad has removed Kane Williamson from the captaincy and appointed the new player as the captain of the team. Sunrisers Hyderabad has handed over the command of the team to David Warner for the 13th season. Williamson captained the team for the past two seasons. Warner was banned for a year after the ball-tampering incident. Due to this ban, he could not participate in the 2018 IPL season. It was in his absence that Kane Williamson was made the captain of the Sunrisers. In 2019, Warner played under the captaincy of Williamson.
