India reached the semi-finals
New Zealand needed 5 to win on the last ball, 4 runs to tie the match, but Shikha Pandey hit a tremendous outside off stump to get the match to the Yorker by three runs. This was India’s third consecutive win in the World Cup and now the team qualified for the semi-finals.

Shefali Verma, who played a tremendous innings of 46 off 34 balls, adorned with four fours and three sixes, was adjudged Player of the Match. This was the second match in a row when the 16-year-old opener received the title before Shefali was also adjudged Player of the Match against Bangladesh.
