In the Ranji Trophy: The batsman Sarfraz Khan hits a triple century on Wednesday against Uttar Pradesh in Wankhede Stadium. Uttar Pradesh had accumulated an enormous total of 625 in their first innings, led by a double-century from Upendra Yadav and Akshdeep Nath hit a century.

Sidhesh gives to Sarfaraz a lead of 63 and eventually forced a draw in the Ranji Trophy encounter, Sarfaraz remained unbeaten on 301 while Sidhesh led went back for 98.
Aditya Tare came up with an invaluable knock of 97 while Shams Mulani assembled a quick-fire 65. Sarfaraz Khan became the seventh player who struck a triple century after Sanjay Manjrekar, Sunil Gavaskar, Rohit Sharma, Wasim Jaffer, Ajit Wadekar and Vijay Merchant to achieve the feat. Wasim Jaffer is the only Batsman from the Ranji team to heat a triple-century twice.
Sarfaraz khan completed his triple century with a six over wide long-on after the match was off. The bowlers of Uttar Pradesh struggled on the third and fourth day and had an off day in the field. They were only able to take two wickets on the final day. Next away Mumbai plays in Himachal Pradesh Dharmshala and Sarfraz innings would have given 41 times Ranji Trophy champions.
