Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has postponed the World and Asia XI matches to be held in Dhaka on March 21-22. On Thursday, the news agency reported that according to the board, the decision was taken due to the increased infection of coronaviruses. There is no information about the next date of the matches. At the same time, now the impact of coronavirus is also being seen on IPL 2020.

The two matches between World and Asia XI were special for Bangladesh. The matches were to be held on the occasion of the birth centenary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of Bangladesh. Virat Kohli, Lasith Malinga, and Chris Gayle, all the famous players of the world would be seen in these two matches. Both matches were to be played in Dhaka. According to BCB President Najmul Hasan, the tournament will not take place at the moment.

An audience present in the Women’s T20 World Cup final played between India and Australia on 8 March has received Coronavirus positive. This match was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground i.e. MCG. Australia won this final. MCG said in a statement on Thursday, “We are aware that an audience present during the finals of the Women’s T20 World has been found infected with the coronavirus.
